Beginners running plan

Before we start, here are four key points to read and note:

  1. Science bit: If you are not accustomed to any exercise please consult your GP before putting on your trainers.
  2. Schedule your workouts, if you can, but don’t stop if you miss one. There’s a tomorrow for a reason.
  3. Expect bad days. If one day you run brilliantly and the next time you go out, you could hardly lift your feet off the floor – it’s normal – everyone has bad days and they do pass. Keep at it, the next time you go out will probably be your best.
  4. Slow and steady wins the race. You’re not chasing anything or anyone, going too fast does result in injury.

Ready? Let’s do this.
